RADIESSE

A portrait of a woman with curly, reddish-brown hair, light skin with freckles, wearing hoop earrings, smiling softly, and topless against a neutral background.

Radiesse treatment is an injectable dermal filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres that provides immediate volume and stimulates natural collagen production for longer-lasting rejuvenation

It is used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, restore volume in areas like the cheeks and jawline, and improve skin quality on the face, neck, and hands. The procedure is quick with minimal downtime, and results can last from 12 to 18 months or more.

    • Composition:

Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel. CaHA is a material naturally found in human bone, making it biocompatible.

    • Dual-action mechanism:

      It offers a two-fold benefit:

      • Immediate volume: The gel provides immediate lift and fills in wrinkles and folds.

      • Collagen stimulation: The CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold that stimulates your body to produce new collagen and elastin over time. Eventually, the gel is absorbed, and the new tissue is naturally formed.

  • Facial volume and contouring:

    • Correcting deep grooves like nasolabial folds.

      • Adding volume to areas like the cheeks.

      • Contouring the jawline and chin.

      Skin quality improvement:

      • When diluted, it can be used as a "skin enhancer" to improve texture, firmness, and elasticity, particularly on the neck and décolletage.

      • Treating skin laxity.

      Other areas:

      • Restoring volume to the back of the hands to reduce the appearance of veins and tendons.

    • Procedure: A fine needle or cannula is used to inject Radiesse into the skin. The use of a cannula can minimize bruising and inflammation.

    • Anesthesia: A numbing agent like lidocaine is often mixed with the Radiesse to ensure a comfortable injection.

    • Duration: The procedure is quick, often taking 15 to 30 minutes.

    • Aftercare: A gentle massage is performed to evenly distribute the filler.

    • Downtime: Minimal to no downtime is typically required, allowing you to return to work and social activities immediately. Mild side effects like redness, swelling, or tenderness may occur and usually resolve within a few days.

    • Immediate results: You will see an immediate improvement in volume and contour.

    • Long-term results: The full effect becomes apparent as collagen production increases, typically within 3 months.

    • Duration: Results can last up to 18 months or more, depending on individual factors like lifestyle, age, and the area treated.

    • Future treatments: Touch-up treatments may be recommended to maintain results.
