MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS

Microneedling (The Skiin Freak) - The base level of microneedling. Needling produces microchannels in the skin, which in turns leads to a flood of growth factors and collagen remodelling. This helps to lift, brighten, tighten, contracts pores and improves scarring.

PRP + Microneedling - PRP refers to the injections of one's own plasma, into the surface of the skin. Needling produces microchannels in the skin, which in turns leads to a flood of growth factors and collagen remodelling. This helps to lift, brighten, tighten, contracts pores and improves scarring.

Radiofrequency Microneedling - Radiofrequency microneedling is microneedling magnified! This is the treatment if you want results, fast. Stimulating collagen, increasing elastin, remodelling skin, reducing fine lines/wrinkles, minimising pore size, improving scarring and brightening - its an all round amazing treatment.

  • Microneedling is a procedure that uses needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. It triggers the body’s natural healing response, which results in the production of new collagen and elastin.

This process can help improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, and other skin imperfections. It can also help improve the overall texture and tone of your skin.

  • Before your microneedling treatment, you should:

    • Remove all makeup, creams, oils, etc. From your skin- these can interfere with the microneedling process and may cause irritation.

    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing- you will want to avoid anything that will constrict your movement or irritate your skin.

    • Do not use any products that contain retinol or other exfoliating agents for at least 72 hours before your treatment- retinol can make your skin more sensitive and increase the risk of irritation.

    • You should also avoid sun exposure before and your treatment.

  • During your microneedling treatment, your aesthetician will cleanse your skin and apply a tailored serum containing a cocktail of all the good stuff: vitamins, hyaluronic acid & peptides.

You may feel a slight prickling sensation as the needles are inserted into your skin cells, but this should not be painful. The entire treatment usually takes less than an hour.

After your treatment, your aesthetician will apply a soothing serum to your skin. You may experience some redness and swelling, but this should resolve within a few hours.

You should avoid sun exposure for at least 24 hours after your treatment. Be sure to wear sunscreen with an SPF of 50 or higher if you must go outside.

  • There are a few things you can do to help maintain your results after treatment:

    • Use sunscreen- this is essential because it will help protect your skin from damage and keep your complexion looking even.

    • Avoid sun exposure- as much as possible, stay out of the sun or use protective clothing when you are outside.

    • Use gentle skincare products- avoid harsh cleansers or exfoliants that can irritate your skin.

    • Be gentle with your skin- avoid picking or scrubbing at your skin, as this can irritate.

These tips will help you maintain your results and keep your skin looking its best.

  • Microneedling offers a wide range of benefits, including:

    • Reduced appearance of wrinkles and fine lines– wrinkles and fine lines are caused by a loss of collagen and elastin in the skin. Microneedling can help stimulate the production of these proteins, which can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

    • Improved skin texture and tone– microneedling can help improve your skin’s overall texture and tone because it encourages collagen and elastin production.

    • Reduced pore size– one of the main benefits of microneedling is that it can help to reduce the size of your enlarged pores. It is because the process helps to tighten and smooth out your skin.

    • Reduced appearance of acne scars– if you have facial scars because of acne, microneedling can help to improve your appearance.

    • Improved appearance of stretch marks– stretch marks occur when your skin stretches and tears, often due to pregnancy or weight gain. Microneedling can help to improve the appearance of stretch marks.

    • Fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation– microneedling can also help fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation or uneven pigmentation because the process can help to even out rough skin texture.

These benefits will give you a more youthful appearance and help you feel more confident about your skin. If you are interested in microneedling or other services, please contact us today. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have and schedule a consultation with you.
